Tutorial 2
Frame 5

You may modify the location of the current focal point of an 'Animation View' window relative to the world reference point by

  1. Moving the focal point along the current focal direction.
  2. Moving the focal point in a direction perpendicular to the current focal direction.

To move the focal point along the current focal direction

  1. Make sure the 'Move look at' icon in the camera toolbar is disabled by clicking on it if necessary;
    =disabled =enabled
  2. Press down the right mouse button somewhere in the window;
  3. Move the mouse in the vertical direction;
  4. Release the right mouse button when you have achieved the desired position of the focal point.

Note that since the focal point remains at the center of the 'Animation View' window, the effect of moving the focal point is to move the world observer's reference point relative to the focal point.

To move the focal point in a direction perpendicular to the current focal direction

  1. Make sure the 'Move look at' icon in the camera toolbar is disabled by clicking on it if necessary;
    =disabled =enabled
  2. Press down the left mouse button somewhere in the window.
  3. Move the mouse in the vertical and/or horizontal directions;
  4. Release the left mouse button when you have achieved the desired position of the focal point.

At any time, you may return to the default viewpoint by clicking on the 'Reset camera' icon in the camera toolbar.
