If the MAMBO project file contains a nonempty time history, the video control buttons and the 'Animation Position' slider on the 'animation toolbar' are enabled.

You may animate the current time history by left-clicking the 'Play' icon on the animation toolbar. Alternatively, you may select the 'Animation->Play' menu item or press the F5 button on your keyboard.

The playback speed is determined by the selection under the 'Animation->Playback Speed' menu item. For example, the 'Realtime' option attempts to animate the current time history so that one second in the time history corresponds to one second of clock time.

You may stop an animation by left-clicking the 'Stop' icon on the animation toolbar. Alternatively, you may select the 'Animation->Stop' menu item or press Shift+F5 on your keyboard.

You may also manually step through the current time history or to move to any arbitrary position in the current time history using

• The remaining buttons on the 'animation toolbar';
• The corresponding menu items under the 'Animation' menu; or
• The 'Animation Position' slider.
