Students Projects -- Scissor Jack

Welcome to the world of MAMBO, a software package for the modeling and analysis of multibody mechanisms.

This student project was created by undergraduate engineering students Nefaur Khandker at Virginia Tech during the Fall 2004 iteration of the course ESM 4124, Multibody Mechanics and Visualization at Virginia Tech.

The project presents a kinematically correct animation of the function of a scissor jack assembly with a double-lead Acme threaded screw invented by Garceau and described in United States Patent #6,607,181.
