This version of the MAMBO toolbox includes the commands described in Multibody Mechanics and Visualization by Harry Dankowicz, published by Springer-Verlag UK in 2004, as well as the commands required to applying Kane's method to an arbitrary multibody mechanism.

MamboToolbox4Mathematica_8.0.zip (zip file, 25kB, January 5, 2013)
This zip archive contains two mathematica packages (.txt) compatible with mathematica 8.0.

MamboProjects_old.zip (zip file, 296kB, December 30, 2005)
This zip archive contains the source code (.src, .nb) as well as the MAMBO project file (.spj) and associated geometry (.geo) and motion (.dyn) descriptions for 21 sample MAMBO projects from Multibody Mechanics and Visualization by Harry Dankowicz, published by Springer-Verlag UK, 2004. The source code is compatible with maple 8 and the extended symbolic toolbox in matlab 7.0 R14 and mathematica 6.0.

In a file browser, navigate to the folder, where the corresponding zip archive was saved. Unpack the zipped archive using winZip or similar software to the same folder.

maple users: To use a maple library, set the maple libname variable to include the appropriate folder. Load the MAMBO toolbox using the with command. To use a .src file, copy and paste the entire content into a maple worksheet and execute the worksheet. You can now use the Mambo toolbox in this or any other worksheet within the same session.

matlab users: To use a .src file, set matlab's path to include the appropriate folder. Load the MAMBO toolbox using the procread command.

mathematica users: In mathematica, use the Get command to load the MamboToolbox.txt and Format_m.txt files. To view a notebook (.nb), simply open the notebook in mathematica.

Note that .src and .txt files are simply text files and may be viewed in any text editor.
